GAME 2: Back and forth affair 2-2 after 3 periods. didnt take long for the Nucks to end the Bruins night in overtime. as Alex Burrows scored 10 seconds in on a wrap around goal to give the Canucks a 2-0 lead in the series
Game 3: After a Dirty Hit by Canucks Defensman Aaron Rome ended Horton's season, it seemed to awaken something we've never seen before in these Bruins, Emotion beyond words, and an 8-1 blowout to send a strong message to Vancouver. We're the Boston Bruins, and we're in this series too. Canucks 2-1
Game 4: Before the Game, Bruins Legend Bobby Orr, the pregame "ceremonial captain" as the bruins had been doing throughout the playoffs, waived a Nathan Horton flag and got the crowd Pumped up for game 4. goals by peverley and ryder made it 2-0 Bruins. Crowd had a lot of energy for this game as well. Ferrence scores a couple minutes later on the PP and Roberto Luongo was done for the night, 3-0 Bruins Mid 1st Period. And a minute Later, Ryder tips home a Tomas Kaberle slapper to make it 4-0 Boston. Krejci would add a Powerplay goal in the 3rd after a Henrik Sedin Goal... 5-1 final. WE HAVE GAME 7!
GAME 7: Nothing Better in sports than a game 7 for the championship. Patrice Bergeron opened up the scoring in the first with a goal and Marchand would add one as well for a 2-0 lead. Bergy would add a shorthanded goal to make it 3-0 Bruins. With less than 3 mins left. Marchand burried an empty netter to make it 4-0. You could see the Looks on their faces, the had come full circle, they had completed the journey, they had just sealed the deal, they would be Stanley Cup Champions in a few short moments. As the Minutes turned to seconds. Boston erupted in their homes, local bars, cars, wherever they listened or watched they knew, the Boston Bruins had done it, they Had won the Stanley Cup.

2010-2011 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS Part 2

As we turned to Round 2. All eyes were on the B's to see how they responded to the critics saying the Powerplay (which failed to produce a single goal in round 1) would stack up against the offensively talented Flyers. Not to mention all the Media hype about the collapse from the year before. The Bruins answered the Critics in a big way Blowing the Flyers out in their home arena by a final score of 7-3. The Bruins went on to Sweep away the Bad Memories and Move on to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Tampa Bay lightning.
Game 1 vs Tampa saw the Bruins lose their final game on Home Ice in the postseason. Tampa Bay won that game 5-2. the Bruins would go on to win games 2&3 and lose game 4. winning game 5 and losing game 6 to set up another epic game 7 at the garden, and MAN did that game deliver. Scoreless throughout the frist two periods. it was apparent one goal would most likely do it heading into the third. Hero? who else. Nathan Horton. on a great pass through the zone by Andrew Ferrence, Krejci finsihed the job by putting the puck on Horton's stick and in the net, the only goal for the Bruins and in the game. a 1-0 shutout win and a trip to the Stanley Cup Final against the Vancouer Canucks.

2010-2011 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS Part 1

It started with a loss in game 7 to Philadelphia. A collapse of EPIC proportions. up 3 games to 0 and tie game 4 late. a Soft goal from Simone Gagne started it, and a Goal from Gagne late in game 7 ended it all and crushed the bruins. After an offseason which saw the Bruins aquire Nathan Horton And Gregory Campbell from The Florida Panthers in exchange for Dennis Wideman and their own first round pick. With the First round pick they had aquired in the Phil Kessel deal the year before, The Bruins selected 2nd and Chose Tyler Seguin. Fresh off of hip surgery, Tim Thomas looked to rebound from a discouraging 2009-2010 Campaign that saw his play take a drastic hit, due to his injury that wasn't disclosed until the conclusion of their playoff run.
Tuukka Rask Started the season as the #1 for the Bruins, Starting the Season opener in Prague against the Phoenix Coyotes. Boston was lit up and lost the opener 5-2. Newcomer Nathan Horton scored both goals.
In the Second game in Prague, the Bruins opted to go with Tim Thomas. he played fantastic in that game and never looked back. Fast Forward now to February. The Bruins were "Wheelin" and Dealin' (no pun intended) Sending Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart to Atlanta for Rich Peverley and Boris Valabik. They Also Sent a draft pick to the Senators to aquire Chris Kelly, and Sent Joe Colbourne and a draft pick to Toronto for Tomas Kaberle. With these moves the Bruins set up with the 3rd Seed in the East and a first round matchup with Montreal.
Losing the first two games in  a series is never good, evidence as the bruins have never won a series when facing such a deficit. But as we found out, these Bruins had A lot of fight. Battling back to tie the series in Montreal and winning game 5 back at the Garden, Losing game 6 in Montreal and setting up an epic Game 7.
The  Bruins Jumped out to a quick 2-0 Lead on Goals from Boychuk and Recchi, but the Habs tied it up and it looked like the same old song and dance for the Bruins in game 7's. Chris Kelly gave them a lead for a few moments before a phantom high stick on Patrice Bergeron sent the Habs on the PP. And OF COURSE the Habs score, on a PK subban Rocket. 3-3 the score and OT produced our first Hero the Stanley Cup Run. Nathan Horton scored a little less than 6 minutes into Overtime to send the Bruins to second round for a rematch against the Flyers. who embarrassed the Bruins one year earlier as we all know

Bruins Lightning- who's representing the east in the cup final?

The Boston Bruins are in the east finals for the first time in 19 years, and The Tampa Bay Lightning have come out of literally nowhere this season to reach their first east final since 2004, When, as we all know the won the Stanley Cup in an epic 7 game set with the Calgary Flames.

It's been a bit longer for The Bruins, as we know, 1972 was the last time the Bruins won the most coveted prize in all of Sports, the Stanley Cup... Both teams had 7 game sets in the first round, both erasing two game deficits to win those series. The Bruins were down 2-0 to the Montreal Canadiens, Losing both of the first two on home ice. Coming back then to win 4 of the next 5, 3 on it OT, one in Double OT, and game 7 was A Nathan Horton Slapshot to send them to Philly for some much wanted Revenge.
For Tampa. Down 3-1 to the Malkin/Crosby less Pens. they mounted a comeback and 3 straight wins to take that series in 7.  Both Teams used that momentum in the second round, with 4 game sweeps of the Caps and Flyers.

Here is how i see this series. Bruins are Better in the 5on5 game, with a slight edge in net, The Powerplay is improving and The Bolts have an advantage in Special teams big time. I respect the Bolts goaltending but not their defense, so i will say the Bruins have the slight edge to the Bruins there. all in all.. look for a very physical  series here, winner gets a shot at the cup. desperation will be a big factor and killer instinct will get it done.

THE PICK- BRUINS IN 7.
